About

Wagner Kreusch

Wagner Kreusch is dedicated to championing sustainability in floristry and sees the art form as both a creative expression and a cultural emblem. Trained at the esteemed Sogetsu School of Ikebana under the guidance of the late Ikebana master, Mr. Shigeo Suga, Kreusch now holds certification as a Sogetsu teacher, actively practising and imparting his knowledge of floristry.

Originally from Brazil, Kreusch is renowned for his extensive career in floristry education, drawing inspiration for his graphic and sculptural designs from modern Ikebana. Growing up as the son of a florist amidst the natural landscapes of the countryside, he gained firsthand appreciation for the pristine environments now under threat in his homeland. In 2017, Kreusch co-founded the prestigious London Flower School, where he served as Creative Director, striving to elevate floristry to an esteemed art form and utilising his teaching platform to advocate for the industry he holds dear. Since then, he has delved deeper into his artistic journey, immersing himself in gardening to further evolve his craft. His aim is to bring floristry's profound therapeutic benefits to the fore while shedding light on the vulnerability of our natural world.

This hallowed ground has borne witness to the city's evolution, adapting to its changing needs – from labourers' quarters to a psychiatric rehabilitation centre. But this site is more than just a chronicle of the past; it is a canvas upon which the future is being painted. The building itself, with its unique historical and architectural significance, serves as a reminder of the enduring spirit of resilience and adaptability that has defined Hong Kong's journey.
